The South Carolina National Guard conducts a ceremony to recognize the activation of the 117th Engineer Brigade Nov. 3, 2019 in Newberry, South Carolina as the newest unit in the organization. The brigade will serve as the headquarters for the 122nd Engineer Battalion, the 178th Engineer Battalion, and the 710th Explosive Hazardous Coordination Cell. It will be commanded by U.S. Army Col.
