Purpose and Scope

Retirement Services Offices provide crucial retirement counseling and pre-retirement services to Soldiers and their Families to aid them in making timely and informed decisions regarding their entitlements and benefits.


OVERVIEW

Retirement Services Offices personnel are trained to provide quality pre-retirement services counseling to all retiring and Retired Soldiers, surviving spouses and their Families. In addition to counseling, RSOs provide post-retirement services to retired Soldiers and surviving spouses.

Pre-Retirement

Pre-Retirement Presentations are available to members within 2 years of retirement eligibility.

Gray Area

Entry into the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS) is essential for proper eligibility.

Post-Retirement

You can request retirement from your MPO when you have 20 years of credible service.
