Army National Guard Senior Enlisted Advisor

Command Sergeant Major Norris K. McCall proudly serves as the 14th State Command Sergeant Major of the South Carolina Army National Guard and its Senior Enlisted Leader. A dedicated Soldier and leader, CSM McCall brings a wealth of experience to his current role, having honed his skills through a distinguished career and completing rigorous training including the U.S. Sergeants Major Academy (2021) and the Nominative Leader Course at the U.S. Army War College (2024).

CSM McCall’s roots are firmly planted in South Carolina, being a native of Chesterfield and currently residing in Cheraw with his family. He graduated from Chesterfield High School in 1989, setting the foundation for his future success in the military. His commitment to service and continued education demonstrates a lifelong pursuit of excellence.

Beyond his professional achievements, CSM McCall is a devoted family man. He and his wife, Felicia McCall, are proud parents to four children: Joshua, Jordan, Narrie, and Sydney.

Assignments:
1.1988 – 2005: South Carolina Army National Guard – Service Battery, 3rd Battalion, 178th Field Artillery.
2.2004 – 2005: Deployed to Iraq, attached to 7th Transportation Group (now 7th Sustainment Group) as Convoy Security, supporting troop and equipment movement.
3.2005 – 2023 South Carolina Army National Guard Recruiting and Retention Battalion – Served in multiple positions including Production Recruiter and Recruiting and Retention Command Sergeant Major, overseeing statewide recruiting efforts.
4.2023– 2026: State Command Sergeant Major, South Carolina Army National Guard- Responsible for matters of health, wellness, morale, and overall strength and readiness of all Army Soldiers and units within the organization.
5.2026- Present: Command Senior Enlisted Leader of the South Carolina National Guard – Responsible for communicating the goals and direction of The Adjutant
General while also representing and advising the concerns and views of all Guard Soldiers and Airmen.
