U.S. Army Maj. Gen. John F. King, commander of U.S. Army North’s Task Force-51, conducts a site survey of South Carolina National Guard Engineers from the 122nd and 178th Engineer Battalions as they build a barrier by placing 1,000 pound sand bags along a section of highway at Lake Busbee to prevent flooding off of highway 501 in Conway, S.C., September 18, 2018. King is responsible for coordinating domestic federal response to disasters that occur nationwide.
